So we meet first meet Lydia & Danny ten years prior to the main story setting. They are both at Lydia's sisters wedding and are both feeling in a romantic way and they kiss. They have been best friends for years; Lydia has always had feelings for Danny but didn't want their friendship to get in the way. They decide that the time is not right for them to be together, as Danny moves away and Lydia stays on at her job to progress her career in events planning, However, they do both make a pact that if they are both not married by the age of 30, then they will do the deed. The pair keep in touch throughout the years writing emails, sending letters and tacky fridge magnets from their separate travels around the world. However, due to leading busy lives and having their own separate partners now. They don't see each other.

Lydia & Danny's mothers are also best friends and they hatch a plan to get the couple together again by setting up Lydia to go on a trip by herself to Danny's family home in Barcelona only to find that he is staying there also. The two instantly fall in love and the pact that they made is bought up which makes Danny propose to Lydia and they decide that they want a small wedding as quickly as possible. However, this means that there needs to be changes resulting in Lydia having to change her job and also move 6 hours away from her family.

While I was reading this story, I was unsure about Danny. I felt as though there was a reason that he wanted to get married so quickly and also from his past with girls it made him seem like he wasn't ready to settle. I fell in love with Lydia's character and she has a good heart although clumsy and creates embarrassing situations for herself which is good to relate to in real life situations.

I was happy to read on that they did both have a happy ending. It did make you wonder if the pair would end up together or not. I would definitely recommend this book and am looking forward to reading more from Anna Bell.
