A lot of romance novels have painfully detailed sex scenes in them. If I wanted that I would read erotica not romance!
This book however, is a fantastic romance novel.
You get to know the lead characters, Lydia and Danny, and as a reader you learn how their relationship has grown over their lifetime.
As a reader I felt I knew both characters and their families very well. The book is written beautifully and so easy to read - the main chapters are in current time but there is a note at the beginning of the chapter, either a letter or parcel sent between them - to give you a flashback to their past and I feel this is a unique but very clever way of writing!
I love this book and look forward to more in the future!
