I picked this book up after reading a few heavy going historical novels... I wanted something light, fun, easy to read and romantic (I’m a sucker for a romance). And that’s what I got! It had me laughing, it had my heart hurting for the characters, even cursing them at times, but don’t expect much more than that. Not that it’s a bad thing, as I find it great to have an easy book to read from time to time!
I loved the synopsis and the plot did not disappoint me from what the synopsis had me expecting. It’s a predictable romance, fun and enjoyable with occasional moments of reaching for the tissues.
I really enjoyed the read but I wouldn’t say it was anything special. That being said, I’d definitely read another book by Anna Bell!
