I didn't get on with this book at all, I'm afraid. On the one hand the author is evidently keen to explore geo-political issues, but for me, the first-person narrative gets in the way. The focus on herself and apparently imporant details of her personal life, e.g. shopping at Sainsbury's, put up a real barrier. Really didn't warm to this at all.
