This isn’t the usual book that I would pick up in my local bookstore. However, I can honestly say that I’m so pleased that I have given it a go as it’s a fascinating read.
I really enjoyed the authors style of writing and how she described her journeys around the region. She paints a very vivid picture of what faced her and those who live in the area. This allows the reader to get a great understanding of what it must be like to live with this taking place around you.
I felt that the pace of the book was good although it could have perhaps been a bit snappier in places as it did get a little bit stagnated at times.
The artwork on the front of the book is good and I think this appeals to those searching. Well worth a read.
