Someone dies??? I may sound depressing but honestly death in books is my kind of thing. I love how some authors are able to part from characters or to get an interesting start to a character's story. Losing a family member is (without meaning to sound mean) an interesting way to give a character amn interesting character - e.g. a revenge for a death of a family member.
