The book, in dust and ashes, is the last book in the Hanne Wilhelmsen series which means there are seven books before it. This meant that everything was explained in the previous books which meant that it makes little sense without reading the previous books. This book is about a crime where a three year old girl died in a car accident and then the mother dies under mysterious circumstances. This then leads to the farther behind convicted of murder. This happens in 2001. The book then starts in 2016 when a detective Henrik Holme tries to convince everyone that the farther was wrongly accused and that someone else was behind the two death. This then leads them to believe that this case is linked to many other cases.
