I can't wait to give this one a go. It sounds like the perfect mother-daughter story, one of the most important relationships in existence. However, the love-story, which is also one of freedom and finding oneself sounds just the perfect summer read. Also the dual narrative from two completely different time periods lends itself to the story very well and I'm sure it will draw the reader in!
