I LOVE the cover of this book! It feels summery and fresh, and makes me want to know more about the girl on the cover. I really like the idea of the narrative being from two perspectives - Marilyn's in the 1990s and Angie, her daughter, in the now. It's modern yet nostalgic. This book has all the components for classic YA fiction. It has the boy next door, it has family secrets, it has a roadtrip. What's not to love!?
