What a book. Beautiful, heartfelt and just oh so wonderful.

I didn't know what to expect when reading this book but, I was instantly gripped and I felt I was going on this journey with Angie as she was trying to find out about her father and figure out what happened in her mothers past whilst also dealing with some other things in her life.

This book switches between Angie now and her mother, Marilyn 18 years ago. We follow Angie as she finds a photo of her mother when she was 17 and a guy, a guy she knows instantly is her father. She doesn't know too much about him but, wants to know more and, when she sees something about someone she thought was dead she starts to question things. So, she goes on a trip. To find out more about her father and her mothers past.

Marilyn has just moved in with her uncle with her mother who wants her to be an actress. She just wants to quickly get out and go to collage. She meets her neighbour, James, and she wants to get to know him more and a romance starts to bloom.

But, what really happened all those years ago? Is Angie ready to find out about her father? And, also confront some things she has been just trying to block out of her mind? Is Marilyn ready to tell the truth and face her past? A past she has been trying to move on from for so long but it has finally caught up to her.

This book had me tearing up. It was beautifully written and just wonderful. The characters where interesting and I really enjoyed reading about their life and what was happening and what was going to happen and why. It was so easy to get swept up into this book and just be gripped from the beginning to end. It is a beautiful story about trying to find out about who you are and where you came from. Facing your fears and your past. Dealing with the consequence.

A beautiful book that I urge everyone to read.
