I did not think that I was going to like this book, after I had read the first few pages, but I needed a break from reading my usual thrillers so I persevered. I am so glad I did as I got thoroughly engrossed in the story and ended up reading the whole novel in one day.
The book tells the story alternately through Marilyn and Angie's eyes so quite different perspectives. Marilyn had such a difficult childhood that she becomes determined to make sure Angie has a happy childhood and as a result is quite overprotective. She does not quite tell the truth about some important issues which Angie discovers and then Angie sets out on her own path to find the truth.
It is a beautifully written novel and I would definitely recommend the book.
