It was my first Ava Dellaria book and I really enjoyed the book! It was such a heartfelt and beautiful experience reading this

Things I enjoyed:
I loved the duel point of views and found Marilyn's past POV really interesting and would have totally read a book just about her and James! I think the duel POV was done really well.

The ending was beautifully written and yes I cried whilst reading the ending

I also loved the family element in the story, the mother daughter relationship between Marilyn and Angie even though we didn't see them interact as much but from what I read it seems like they were really close. Also the sibling relationship between James and Justin was so cute.

However there were things I didn't enjoy like the fact that Angie come off as a bit self centred and she wasn't my favourite character in the book, she does two things that I think could have been handled differently.

I would have loved to see more interactions between Angie and her mom

But overall it was a lovely read and I would recommend this for people looking to read about family, hope, identity and love!
