Reading the first two short stories in this collection has already left me deeply engrossed and provoked contemplation, offering a glimpse into another captivating country. Exploring the themes of racism and colourism from various cultural perspectives has always intrigued me, and the prominent presence of Zimbabwean culture in this book adds a layer of richness to the narrative. I am particularly drawn to its exploration of socio-politics. The authenticity and impact it promises in delving into real-life struggles make it an enticing read. I also really like the book cover, impactful and relevant.
