Dark but thought provoking
I admit haven't quite finished this but the several short stories I have read do not necessarily make for easy reading but are certainly very thought provoking. My first exposure to this author and as a whole to contemporary literature from this continent. Looking forward to finishing the last few and having my horizons broadened. Short stories are always clever to come to a conclusion and not necessarily in a predictable manner. I don't think this reminds me of any book I have read before, nevertheless, I would, I think seek out this author's future and past works. Language is succinct yet poetic and well considered.
Cover is not necessarily too illustrative of content but doesn't really matter when one is reading in e-book form. Each story is 15-20 pages which neatly fits a short train journey or pre-sleep read. Very clever set of stories
