When I first saw this book, I did not know if I would enjoy reading it because it sounded different from my normal reading choices. But I do enjoy reading short stories so I thought I would give it a try.
Now I have read all of the short stories in the book, I am very glad that I did decide to read it. This book has shown me about the different lives that people live in two different countries, Zimbabwe and Great Britain. I admit that I do not know much about the lives of Zimbabwean people and the book has inspired me to find out more.
The characters ,in the book, who live in Great Britain are mostly immigrants or second generation immigrants . I have not really given much thought to the lives of these people either, so this book has made me think more about them too.
This book is not for the faint hearted because it contains swearing, adult issues and taboo subjects also make up a good part of the stories. However, I did enjoy reading it and I found it hard to put down once I had started .
