Not the sort of book i would normall pick up, as normally not into black magic and the cover doesnt say pick me up and look at me.
Once i started to read it, i was hooked. The story looks at Magic and how it rules the city of Creije Capital.
Tavia Syn Sells dark magic in order to keep her safe. She sells it for a kingping, which is a person who takes youngsters of the streets and stops them starving, but in return they have to sell his dark magic on the streets. This has to continue until she has reached a certain age then she can flee away from this life and visit other kingdoms.
Tavia is asked to sell a new magic to those that have plenty of money and for each phial she sells it gives her a day less of her criminal life. Problem is, this dark magic she is given is not what she is informed it is, itseems its a very dark magic.
