I'm only half joking, I adore a book with a map. It makes it doubly likely that I will pick the book up and take it home with me.
This book starts in the depths of the criminal underbelly of Creije with our protagonist Tavia who owes 7 more months of her life debt to the kingpin. Tavia spends her days at market selling magic elixirs to the unsuspecting populace but when she is given a new elixir which promises to earn her money to escape whilst wiping days off her life debt, Tavia senses that something isn't quite right. Can she sell something she is unsure of, is she desperate enough to escape this life?
A book promising crime, intrigue and plots-a-plenty I can see this being a fantasy novel you just do not want to put down!
