Loved the cover but the contents don't appeal!

Although a story about black magic and fantasy wouldn't normally attract me, I was immediately drawn to the cover of this book but after reading the first impression my initial reluctance was reinforced and I didn't feel I wanted to discover more! I'm sure the story is well written and, noticing from the enthusiasm shown by other readers this is a book which appeals to many, I'll leave the draw open to them!
