So far I like the familiarity of the noel's world set in a new and exciting setting. The characters are edgy and strong and the magic a clever twist on pick pocketing, drug dealing etc.
The first impression was interesting, with enough hints and clues to keep the reader wanting more and the magic action enough to keep any reader happy. I feel that the book's cover could bely what the story promises to become.
