When I first started I was getting some Six of Crows vibes but then as it went on it moved towards a 1920's gangster vibe. I'm not sure when the book is actually set but I get the impression it's set around that time.
I really liked the build-up of the world, although there was little we find out it didn't take long for it to jump straight into the action. I would really want to read more of this book, I don't want to look it up as I think I'd enjoy it more going into it blind.
I love the colours of the cover, it's so simple yet so eye-catching at the same time.
