I really enjoyed the first two chapters of Into The Crooked Place. I love fantasy, and it seems to be a great, somewhat fresh take on the YA fantasy I've read so far. I've never read from the author before, but the writing was definitely to my liking, very descriptive and nice flowing. I got the vibes of The Smoke Thieves, which had a lot of potential, but unfortunately didn't deliver, this one, though, seems like it has a lot more depth to it. There is a lot of world building in those two chapters, it definitely hooks you from the start.
I liked the characters introduced in this story so far. I'm definitely very curious to continue reading, after this promising start. I'll be picking it up once it's released for sure.
