I remember reading To Kill A Kingdom and it being the first standalone fantasy book that I had read and loving its simplicity (in being one book) and yet full of a great story with clear little mermaid moments and retellings that I loved. I knew immediately that I needed to read this book when it came out and once again, I’m so glad that I did!
Alexandra Christo does it again with easily relatable characters and a feisty badass female character that we can love! The world building, particularly around the market was fantastic and I felt myself jumping straight into the magic and wonder of the storytelling! I really look forward to seeing what else Christo has up her sleeve because I know I will be buying it!
