I was in a bookish slump last month, and fortunately for me I was able to finish this without any trouble. Im a huge fan of Alexandra's To Kill a Kingdom so I thought this book will be just as awesome. And in all honesty I liked this book, it does frustrate me sometimes but I love it through and through. I love that this book is all about love (girl x girl), friendship and most of all Family.

"It was strange then, that here on this train, with magic on her belt loop and Wesley smiling like time was just an illusion they had created, endless oceans between them and the rest of the realms, Tavia felt at peace. She felt at home. And she knew why. She knew then that home could be anywhere, because it wasn't a place, but a feeling. It was made up of people, not bricks, and it was something you could create for yourself, just like family,"

I really felt this line, I once read that you can never be your best self unless you find your tribe. And Tavia tho she and Wesley is in denial they are already home in each others arm, a busker who wanted nothing but to earn everything herself and an arrogant, cold hearted under boss who is an actual marshmallow to his childhood friend. Love does work in a different and weird way but its still love.

Aside from this two lovelies the book is all about crooks, magic, betrayal, Tyrant Kingpins and crafters from different kins. This book reminded me of Kaz and Inej of Six of crows too, somehow the story is aalmost the same but I love them both.
