I really enjoyed Alexandra Christo's first book 'To Kill a Kingdom' , so I was really excited to get this copy of 'Into the Crooked Place' and it's another winner.
Unlike 'To Kill a Kingdom' this is the first book in, I believe, a duology. It's a fantasy adventure that is told via four characters: Tavia the busker who sells potions and charms to people; Wesley, the gangster; Karam, his bodyguard and Saxony, best friend to Tavia and on her own mission of revenge.
When a bigger threat surfaces, these four characters have to come together to help save the city of Creije.
A really fun YA fantasy with great banter, snappy chemistry with the leads and a plot that holds your attention.
I'd recommend this and look forward to the sequel.
