Ah man I don’t really know how to start this review, this book was so much more than I expected. It’s very dark and full of twists. I love the 4 main characters, Wesley is my favourite, with all his flaws and bloodlust, he’s brilliant and I think there’s definitely a good guy in there somewhere. Plus he’s very dapper 😂
Lovely short chapters each one from a different characters perspective, which I sometimes got a little muddled over, this is more to do with my addled brain than the writing. The book is full to bursting, it has crooks, magic, death, craft, sinister bad guys, violence and complex relationships. It also touches on LGBT relationships which is brilliant! 👍🏼
The writing is incredibly descriptive but in a really good way, the language is perfect. It’s a complex story writing with simple but extremely effective language so it’s a breeze to read and get completely immersed in. And the ending was a real gut twister, I can’t wait for the next one. I need it now!!!
