This one took me a while to get into. Especially the world which I feel is kind of familiar to an extent. (Magic is feared, etc, and it reminded me of Poison Study in that aspect.) I loved the ideas of selling and buying magic which was super unique and interesting to read about. I grew to love the characters (especially Wesley!) and it was interesting to learn more about them and see them travelling. Plot wise, I really enjoyed the concept of the story and I thought the execution of it was great. Honestly, I'm kind of overwhelmed by the ending and that cliffhanger was amazing! I did enjoy this but I did predict a pretty big plot twist and there were a few minor things I did't really like but overall I really enjoyed this! The characters are so interesting and the banter (or humour) was so good in my opinion! I really enjoyed this and I'd recommend it! I'll be reading the sequel and I'm super intrigued to see where this goes!
