This is a fantasy YA book set in a fictional setting but still features elements that can be connected to modern day things like class divides and relationships.

At first I was a bit confused due to the fictional setting and the meta language and new meanings applied to everyday words but the further I read and the more I learned about the text, the harder it got to put it down. The different dynamics between the characters especially Wesley and s Saxony is really interesting especially when compared to other relationships, and the storyline is thrilling with constant twists, turns, betrayals and new alliances.
At times it makes you feel like you want to be on the streets of Creije surrounded by magic but it also makes you feel like running in the opposite direction, away from danger.
I highly recommend it especially to fans of fantasy novels.
