Magic
Minor spoilers
I’ve haven’t bought the book but I have read the sample,so I don’t know more than I’ve read.
I liked the criminal and magic aspect of the book, the cons reminded me of six of crows, that was the first thing I associated with the book.
The illegal magic dealing is an enchanting part of the books plot.and I feel like the dead crafters is a hint that they all might not be dead, but I feel like that is a basic trope with a lot of YA books.the way that the sample just left off with her running is a cliffhanger I didn’t expect, she wasn’t prepared for having to leave her friend a run,but she was expecting having to.
I liked the writing style it wasn't too complicated that you had to reread to understand, but it is a relatively easy read-(based on writing style not the words)
Word based the author didn’t use unnecessarily complicated, and long words that made the book drag on.
The plot I saw from the sample made me want to read it but
As always the things that hooked me first was the title and the cover.
