I thought I was going to love this, as the initial first impressions were quite promising. But unfortunately that was not the case and I found the story line a little boring, a little confusing (with all the mystical names) and quite slow paced.
Tavia is busker in the magical city of Creije. She longs to leave and is desperate to find a way out. Her boss Wesley controls all the buskers with promises of leaving the city, but first of all they need to sell Magic to pay their way. For years no new magic has been created, and Tavia and her friends have been selling placebos, until one day Wesley has something new for her to sell. New Magic, supposedly to make you happy. However this magic is very strong and soon bad things start to happen. Could this be Tavia's chance to escape the clutches of Creije?
