An interesting start
It was the moody cover that drew me to this one, and to be honest I wanted to dive right in without learning any more about it.
Even more appealing was that fact it was set in Australia and potentially offers a freshness to the usual police procedures and dialogue exchanges.
Clearly this is early days, but already I find myself invested in the progression of this story. Fingers-crossed I won't be left without any necessary background for the private lives of the main characters as I've not read book one, 'The Dark Lake'.
