If you were a fan of her first novel, The Dark Lake then I think this novel will also appeal. The first chapters show that it is easy to read and combines the separate stories of Gemma's successes in her role as a detective and her difficulties in her home-life with ease. It will be interesting to find out what is next in store for her character.
