Into The Night is a great read. The main character detective Gemma Woodstock finds that the work/home balance doesn't always go to plan especially when a well known movie star has just been murdered. This book also explores the intricate relationships between detectives working a high profile case who don't always see eye to eye but yet have to work together to find the killer.
The writing style is modern and efficient and the story moves along at a quick pace. The author keeps us guessing as to the identity of the murderer and everybody has a motive.
I would really like to see another book with Gemma Woodstock which further explores her relationship with her son Ben and what happens to detective Fleet.
