One of the worst books I've ever read. I didn't get through all of it, I tried I really did but I just couldn't it was so awful, the author is a truly excellent writer, but the character she has created in this book is truly abhorrent I could not stand her. Firstly she's abandoned her son to get a better job no less! She's clearly an alcoholic, and she's so cold there is no warmth or depth to this character, and lastly she's a complete and utter tart, she can't keep her knickers on for anything, I cannot relate to this character at all and I'm sorry but I detest everything about her, I will in all likelihood never read anything by this author again. What a massive waste of my life that I now cannot ever get back!
