As my title says, I absolutely adored this book! This is my favourite genre of writing (with Victoria Hislop being my favourite author) so I was really excited to find this book a week before my Greek holiday in Waterstones. I read it whilst I was sat by the pool and I was absolutely gripped by it the whole time, as much of a cliche as it is, I didn't want to put it down! I think I ended up reading the full thing in about a day and a half! The only thing I would say is that things started to get a bit over the top with bad things happening towards the end, but the actual ending made up for it! It's a heartbreaking story but really well written and you can really associate with the characters and the emotions they're feeling. The fact that the author lived in the village where the story is set really shows in her work, the detail!! You can imagine perfectly the village of Amiras in your own mind.
