When I started reading this First Impression I didn't realise that it was a sequel. I think it is a story of its own that doesn't necessary require reading in order, however, it definitely reads like a sequel and I found myself feeling like I was missing out having not read the first book. The good news is I enjoyed this enough that I actually want to read book one.
