Okay, this was something a bit different from a run of the mill thriller.
Firstly it has a very unusual and intriguing heroine and narrator, and secondly it is set in Vancouver- my first Canadian thriller- as well as a beautifully depicted Detroit.
It is the second in a series featuring Nora Watts (more promised), and to start with it is a little hard to follow as multiple strands from her first outing are added in to the narrative, however I managed to take these in my stride, and was soon completely immersed, stopping only to order the first volume, so I could dive straight into that.
Beautifully written in a modern hardboiled style, I think Nora Watts has plenty of mileage in her, and I can't wait for the next installment
