I had high hopes for this book but it just didn't live up to my expectations. It's the second book about Nora Watts, a girl with a complex past who spends this book chasing after the shadow of her parents.
Meanwhile someone is chasing her, though not necessarily who she thinks it is (or why).
Despite there being quite a lot of action somehow the pace of this book just never quite gets going. There are a lot of references to things that happened in the first outing, so perhaps it may have been a better book had I read it's predecessor.
The characters felt too one dimensional. There are continuing hints and references to their past but not enough to allow you to really get under their skin.
As for the ending, well there wasn't one really. It kind of petered out into nothingness.
The descriptions of Detriot were probably the most compelling part of the book.
