I love crime dramas and thrillers and was expecting this book to be a gripping tale of criminal happenings and shenanigans in the big city of detroit.
Sadly thought it wasn't for me. 110 pages in and I'm still struggling to identify with any of the characters. Im struggling to figure out who's who and theres way too many links and crossovers to understand what is going on at all really for me.
It's a lot to do with gangs and gang culture, but with no real detail of what it is her father is meant to have done/disappeared to.
The way it is written has made me continue to almost half way, but I feel so detached from the plot that I don't know what is going on enough to bother reading on. Sorry. Not for me.
