I was lucky to win this book in the draw, my first impression was positive, I liked the short sentences which gave a momentum and sense of urgency to the characters and thus runs through the book. However, after a while the use of short sentences did get a little waring and made me want to give up on the book. I did get to the end and read it fairly quickly while on holiday, although I question whether I would have finished it had I not been on holiday. Nora is a sort of Lisbeth Salender charachter who seems to find and escape trouble in a way only James Bond can. Some of the trouble she gets herself into and then subsequently escapes is a little far fetched and this contines. We don’t have enough time - or perhaps long enough sentences to truly get to know the charachters and perhaps this is what makes you feel rather frustrated at the end. I know there are more Nora books available, but unfortunately i don’t think this has persuaded me to rush out and buy them. This book will be for people who like thrillers and are so bothered about complex character understanding, just not my cup of tea.
