I really tried to get into this book and persevered through it but unfortunately it wasn't for me. I don't like giving up on a book, but about half way through I was struggling. A little predictable in places and the story itself is really well written. The characterisation is detailed enough to allow you to empathise with them.
The story develops steadily and the pace picks up in places but the theme of the book just wasn’t for me. I'm sure many will enjoy it. It has got recommendations from some huge, popular authors - including Lee Child and Jeffrey Deaver but again, I'm not a fan of their books either.
To be honest, I wasn’t feeling very well at the time of reading and I found my concentration and focus was a lot shorter than normal. I am sure that I will give it another go when I’m feeling better. Until then, have a go at it, many others can’t be wrong!
