This was a really enjoyable book from an author I had not heard of before.
When the lead character Nora is approached by a man claiming to have known her late father, she is drawn into a search which takes her from her native Canada to the USA. During the search, she finds out more about both her father and mother, and finds herself in grave danger.
The book is well paced, and written in a fluid style which makes for easy and enjoyable reading. It is the second book about Nora, and in places particularly at the start I felt I would have benefitted from having read book one first. However, as I got into the story this felt less of an issue, and I was able to enjoy as a stand alone novel.
The book switches from first to third person, which was unusual but I soon got used to it, and enjoyed the different impacts this had on the telling of the story.
I enjoyed this book, and would recommend it to others.
