This book screamed 'stress' to me. It sounded like the kind of lifestyle that could give you a nervous breakdown. Sorry but I didn't find it enjoyable at all. It was frenetic and it made me want to hold my breath all the time. Reading about living at a hundred miles an hour is not my kind of entertainment. If I was reading the actual book, I fear I may have given up on it before I got much further. In saying all the above, it did seem like not very much happened in the story though. Maybe the extract was just to short to make an informed judgement. Hopefully the story does gather pace later in the book. I did think that the lead character seemed to lead a very false kind of a life. Very unhealthy and I fear not sustainable for ever. I realise there are people like that and it wasn't all a figment of the authors imagination. I apologise for my negative comments, but alas this book is not for me.
