I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, it really felt like an Irish version of Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty.

Glass Lake is a primary school with a very involved parent body. The story follows the police investigation into a body found in the local river and is split between the police investigation and the time leading up to the person entering the water. You don't find out who the person is until near the end of the book.

The Lakers are a group of parents involved with the school play and this group of parents are the main characters in the book. The story follows several of these parents and the different messes they are currently dealing with in their lives. What follows is a very enjoyable read including a missing cat, a car crash and inappropriate child photos.

I hadn't heard of this author before picking up this book but look forward to discovering more of her work in the future.
