I gave this book a four star rating for the premise and story line, and how well the author gets the reader thinking they know what is about to happen, when really it's something else all along. However, I didn't overly enjoy reading this book; I found there to be almost too many characters, none of which I felt connected to, and the premise of a school and play being so important is beyond me (but then again, I am not a parent!). The only characters I particularly found myself liking and becoming familiar with were Arlo, Ella and Beverly's mother, whilst I kept getting lost with who the others were and what they were adding to the book. The ending was the strongest section in my opinion, and I didn't see the twist coming until quite late on.

I think the colourful front cover and design is lovely and grabs the readers attention. Unfortunately, not my favourite read, but still very well written and I can see that a lot of other readers enjoyed it!
