This one appealed to me because it's described as "ideal for fans of Motherland," which is now one of my favourite television shows.
It is, after all, an honest and amusing representation of life as a modern-day mother, just like the programme.

This was a fantastic book.
The numerous distinct individuals in this book, all of whom revolved around a school community, all contributed significantly to the plot.
It covered a wide range of difficult themes that we may encounter in our lives, and it did so exceptionally well.

I liked the way the book was written; at first sight, it appeared to be chick lit, but it was so much more!
A terrific mystery with some unexpected twists, some of which I didn't see coming.

I suppose amusing parenting isn't enough on its own, and you still need a plot, but the murder mystery part seemed like a weird and unexpected choice, especially given how it ended.
But it's only a little flaw in an otherwise fantastically amusing, interesting, and relevant book that I wholeheartedly recommend (especially for fans of Motherland).
