I enjoyed reading "It could never happen here". The story centres around a death that occurred near a school shortly before their big school show was due to be performed. The book was easy to get into and became much more gripping the further into the story I got. I like how it keeps you guessing then gives you snippets of truth to build up what has really happened. I would be keen to try more books from this author. There are lots of interesting characters and I liked that they had their own story lines that were independent from the main one. The parents of Glass Lake school seem very involved and overbearing, always trying to outdo each other and put pressure on the poor headteacher of the school. Some characters are more likeable than others and there are some humorous bits in the story as well as very serious topics. The book really made me think about safety online for children!
