At first it didn’t seem like something I would read but by the end I was dying to know more! It started off with a cute scene of domestic life as a father and mother talk about their daughters cat that has decided to live with someone else and is lays the groundwork for the main characters along with said daughter, who is extremely anxious and worries about everything. The focus then shifts to another family, in which I saw a typical ‘mean girl’ mother and how her life was going with all of her responsibilities including her business of selling food on facebook and having a daughter that she wanted to make an influencer. Amelia’s character really intrigued me as she seems to take after her mother quite a lot but in a more modern way as she is trying to dominate social media as her mother lives vicariously through her, having been an actress before the age of the internet. But as the first look draws to an end, there is a shocking twist that I did not expect at all and has convinced me that this is something that i would enjoy.
