I was given this book by a friend and it looked like it would be right up my street. It was one I'd read the first look of a while ago.
Ive got to say though, it was actually nowhere near as good as Id hoped based on the first look that I'd previously read. It was very long winded and long drawn out and I almost didnt manage to finish reading the whole thing.
The character Beverley was obnoxious and entitled and I couldn't get over how annoying she was. The book was basically the lives of the kind of people I don't ever wish to be involved with and because of that, I feel it put me off the story.
I felt sorry for some of the characters...especially the two lads with the dodgy father who were badly judged by the horrid people mentioned previously.
Overall I think the story was a bit rubbish. It sounded way better than it was from the first look sadly. Not for me.
