“Beverley Franklin will do whatever it takes to protect her local school's reputation" And that explains the book perfectly. It is witty and humorous, full of gossip and playground politics. It's exactly what you'd expect out of a book like this.

The prose is lovely and I felt completely enveloped in the story, the dialogue and the mystery. I was drawn in from quite close to the beginning. The children were written really well and it felt quite believable.

I must say the main character was so frustrating. I love the fact she set her mind to something and was determined to follow through. We love to see an ambitious, determined woman. However her actions do cause problems for others around her and it was so frustrating that she was so blind to it.

This was a highly interesting read and I couldn't believe all the twists and turns. Well worth the read.
