I really loved the cover of this book, it’s bright and eye catching and definitely stands out. It would definitely make me select the book from the shelf for a closer inspection.
I found the beginning of the book quite hard to get into and I didn’t overly enjoy it, it felt a bit of an effort to keep picking it up and keep reading. However after about a third of the way through I found the story picked up and became more engaging and enjoyable to read. It’s certainly not one of the worst books I’ve read and I’m pleased I persevered and finished it.
The story was quite interesting in the end once it became a bit easier to follow and the characters were more familiar. I’m not sure if I’d recommend to my book club or friends because we have very similar tastes but I can see how other people will really love reading this books. I’d read more from the author in the future.
